Getting into the habit of finding another way

Within the past year, I have gotten into the habit of typing up notes and ultimately reminding myself of things that I’ve learned and need to learn in my JiuJitsu training. As I am reflecting on my recent notes, I keep on thinking about the sparring session that takes place with my Instructor. The past couple of weeks he has been using the same technique to limit my abilities to be dominant in the 6 minute round. I realize that I put this on myself when I first asked about the technique and said that it didn’t work. That was deffinitely a mistake. Now every sparring session I have to avoid/counter/defend/find a way to work within the obstacles of this one technique. I have learned that sometimes it is best to address problems head-on, and sometimes you have to address problems that don’t seem as crucial first. Either way that annoying issue may come around more than once, and it’s best to look at it from multiple angles. EyeRoll4 the ability to look at difficult situations from a different perspective.
