Understand the other side

There will always be differing opinions. This is just a fact. One of the reasons is that everyone has different experiences to base them on. Experiences can be anything that allows us to take in information. When we see someone for a second, it’s natural to be judgmental. Judgement is based again on past experiences. I personally don’t like cats because they are too sneaky, and I had a negative experience when I was little. Without bringing up specific current events, people often think that others that don’t think the same have something wrong with them. Instead of having a negative feeling towards another person or opposing viewpoint, I have found that trying to understand it and listen to opposing points can help me feel less stress when interacting in debates/confrontations.
