Live in the present

I meant to post something last week and I didn’t get around to it. On Saturday I got married to a beautiful woman who continues to surprise me with her loving character every day. As can be expected around a wedding, everybody has a piece of advice to give. The one piece that I look strongly at today revolves around the idea of being present. The idea of appreciating what is happening vs. what could happen is most important. For me, the possibilities of what could sometimes overshadow what is happening in the present. This overshadowing fades the light of what is truly important in the moment. This past weekend I chose to see the light and to make sure that it does not fade when I said, “I do”.
