Are you changing goals or just changing objectives?

If you haven’t seen my latest YouTube video, I discussed something that changed my way of thinking about goals. In previous posts I wrote about goals having to be defined and clearly identifiable. This may be so, but what defines and identifies a goal is an objective. When setting a goal for yourself, you are drafting an intentional plan to improve yourself in some different way. How are you improving yourself? This is where you make an objective and state how you want to improve or overcome some obstacle in your life. When pursuing a goal, many people fall off or decide that a goal is not for them. This is okay! You still want to better yourself, but maybe by following the course of a different objective. If you are working on losing weight, maybe the Carnivore diet isn’t for you and you want to try the Beach Body. In my case, I was exercising constantly to improve my walking, but I got bored and fell into JiuJitsu. I still wanted to work on my body movement, but my way or objective changed. When I was little I wanted to be a judge, then a physical therapist, but now I’m a Blind Rehabilitation Specialist. I still wanted to be successful, but the career/objective changed and diverted. We should be okay with objectives changing because it’s natural, but don’t shy away from the constant goal of bettering yourself. EyeRoll4 the ability to embrace new objectives as long as I keep moving forward.
