I was relating the EyeRoll4 model back to Nature vs. Nurture last night. The reason for this thought process is that we all have a reason behind our actions, but where does this come from? Does nature or nurture have the greater impact in what’s keeping us rolling? Today let’s focus on nature’s ability to drive us forward. Nature deals with the biologic make-up of ourselves, incorporating genetics in physical/mental traits. We can inherit genes that say that we’re a very motivated and driven person, but what if there is a secondary natural source of our grit? The other night I was watching a JiuJitsu instructional video and the Instructor was in a wheelchair. Whether he was born like that or not, he had to find ways to adapt to a natural cause of challenges. If a parent is shy and introverted, they will somehow find the strength inside them to advocate for their child that may have been born with a disability. Whether someone inherently has certain drives to do better, that is to be determined. The fact that natural causes can bring about change is the focus of today. Life throws some crazy things at us. We may think we can’t adapt, but when something comes your way and there’s no way around it, you’re going to act accordingly. To tie into yesterday’s post, have faith and believe that you can. EyeRoll4 the ability to say “I can”.
